Cladding repair

The bottom two planks on this part of the house in Roseville Sydney were suffering
from a terminal case of water damage.
I promptly removed the offending planks and replaced them
with new cladding.  I couldn't find the same profile locally
so I bought two wider ones and modified them to fit.

As an added precaution against further damage from
water penetrating from the tiled floor, I added a strip of aluminium
angle as a flashing and sealed the bottom with a bead of Sikaflex.

I also primed every surface of the cladding before applying
the two coats of weathershield. (weathershield is a self priming
paint but I still put an extra coat of primer on everything I
paint outside.)

My client in Sydney was very happy with the work and they can rest assured
that  there won't be any more water ruining their new cladding.
