Japanese screen room divider

This job was a bit of a challenge, The client was a massage therapist
whose front counter and consultation room were not separated.

The room she was renting had very limited space so she asked me what
could be done to divide it into two.

I built a Japanese style screen which could be fixed to the ceiling and wall
just behind the counter.

The screen itself was only 30mm thick but strong enough to not need any
additional supports at the front or back, making it the perfect solution
to a problem where space was the main concern.

To finish the project, I painted some branches onto the paper with
calligraphy ink and glued on some authentic Japanese Maple leaves.

Apart from being practical, the finished product contributed to the relaxing
atmosphere my client had already created.
